Camille Gooderham Campbell (Managing Editor)
Website: Copy. Edit. Proof.
Twitter: @everydaycamille
In addition to the many hats she wears for Every Day Fiction and Every Day Publishing, Camille Gooderham Campbell is both a copywriter and a full-time mother, and she also writes her own fiction under a pen name. She has an Honours B.A. specializing in English Literature from the University of Toronto, where she was privileged to study creative writing with Professor J. Edward Chamberlin.
Camille’s taste in fiction is eclectic, with favourite authors ranging from Jane Austen to Jilly Cooper, Robert A. Heinlein to Anne McCaffrey, and Pauline Gedge to Jack Whyte. She reads all genres, with a particular interest in speculative and historical fiction, and also collects classic children’s literature.
She likes to read both really short stories and big thick novels, often at the same time, which might explain her enthusiasm for Every Day Novels.

Steven Smethurst (Web Master)
Website: Abluestar.com
Steven Smethurst first started web design in 2002 by creating simple HTML manuals as a hobby. At first his code was very primitive, but he kept looking at what others did and learning from them. Over time, he found that he had a real knack for web design and his skills grew as he needed to fullfil requirements for new projects.
In late 2006, he found himself doing more web sites than utilities and made the mental switch from calling himself a programming monkey to calling himself a web monkey. He reads mainly short Sci-Fi such as Philip K. Dick, and older story books like The Arabian Nights and the Brothers Grimm.
He joined this project because he felt that there was a real void of ultra-short fiction stories that he could read on his lunch break.

Carol Clark (Editor)
Carol Clark is an aspiring fiction writer and poet. She likes to start her “literary” day with coffee and the morning newspaper, then adds more coffee to begin work writing and revising her short stories. She would like to start a novel and memoir soon. Her reading interests range from literary to fantasy to historical fiction, and she’s becoming more comfortable with horror writing.
Carol holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Temple University, and is the Vice President of her local Writers’ Club. She also works as an ESL tutor for the county, and has dreams of opening a “Reading & Writing Room” in her area. In her free time she loves to cook, bike, and take long walks. Carol lives outside Philadelphia with her wonderful husband and two feisty cats.

J.C. Towler (Editor)
J.C. Towler lives in North Carolina with two kids, two dogs, and a wife worth twice her weight in gold-pressed latinum. He graduated from California State University, Chico in the 80’s then toiled in Washington, D.C. for several years before moving to the Outer Banks where he writes and works as a police detective.
He mainly writes suspense, horror, and science fiction, though he dabbles in every genre. He has had stories published in print and electronic media including Every Day Fiction, Monstrous: 20 Tales of Giant Creature Terror, Your Darkest Dreamspell, “Flash Fiction 40” 2009 Anthology, Spinetingler, Haruah: Breath of Heaven, Fear & Trembling, and The Best of Every Day Fiction Two anthology.
John D. McDonald, Larry McMurtry, and George R.R. Martin count among his favorite modern writers.

Joseph Kaufman (Editor)
After growing up on a farm in western Iowa, Joe headed to the bustling metropolis of Des Moines to attend Drake University. There, he worked at Hubbell Dining Hall during his four-year stint, honing such skills as garbage removal, cardboard crushing, and churning out “Hubbell Man” adventures (that were exquisitely atrocious). His stay at Drake ended with the near-accidental acquisition of degrees in Mathematics and Physics, disciplines Joe immediately abdicated for a halcyon career in information technology. Some years later, Joe moved to St. Louis where his presence caused the Rams to grow progressively worse each year. His recent move to Wisconsin may have afforded them a tiny resurgence.
Joe now lives the high life in the Madison area with his beautiful wife Katy, lovely baby girl Vivian, Lola the cat, and his collection of 880 beer bottles that take up nearly 200 feet of shelving. He continues work as an application developer for the world’s largest rodenticide company. Joe affords vermin no quarter, perhaps in response to his childhood days on the farm when a mouse stole some of his precious cheese.
Joe enjoys consuming all kinds of short-form fiction, where his favorite authors include Raymond Carver and Flannery O’Connor. He has done a fair bit of writing and reading in a couple online communities and contests, with a love of con-crit reviewing recently taking the fore.

Aliza Greenblatt (Editorial Assistant)
Website: http://atgreenblatt.com
Aliza Greenblatt currently lives in the wide vicinity of Philadelphia and works by day as an engineer. She graduated from the University of Delaware in ’09 and has since returned to writing because she couldn’t avoid it anymore. Now, she can’t stop.
She’ll read almost anything fiction and doesn’t pay attention to genre when writing stories. She particularly loves anything that tells a good story and tells it well. Favorite authors include Willa Cather, Isaac Asimov, Roald Dahl, Vladimir Nabokov, and Joseph
Heller, to name a few.
Her work has been published or is upcoming in Short, Fast, and Deadly, The Absent Willow Review, and Girls With Insurance.

Emily Skaftun (Editorial Assistant)
Website: Skaftun.blogspot.com
Emily C. Skaftun is a writer of (predominantly) speculative fiction. She has an MFA in creative writing from Roosevelt University, is a graduate of the Clarion West Writers Workshop, and would happily do nothing but read, write, and workshop fiction. Alas. Currently, Emily teaches writing at a variety of local colleges.
Emily’s fiction has appeared in The MacGuffin, FLURB, Strange Horizons, and (soon) Ideomancer.

Sealey Andrews (Editorial Assistant)
Sealey Andrews writes horror and fantasy from her home in Seattle, WA. She holds a B.A. in Culture, Literature and Art, with a focus on Northwest Coast Native American Studies and 20th century popular culture (which basically means she watched movies for an entire semester).
Sealey began submitting fiction for publication in 2009 and has had four of her stories published. Three of them were flash fiction, and though she doesn’t generally consider brevity to be her strong suit, apparently (and fortunately) three editors disagreed with her.
When she’s not working, wrangling children, writing or reading, Sealey can be found at the sushi bar, enjoying one of the many perks of living in the Pacific Northwest–fresh seafood.
Give Sealey fast-paced, dialogue-heavy stories and she’s a very happy reader.

Nicole Lavigne (Slush Reader)
Websites: Literal Graffiti and Sweet Tooth Secrets
Nicole Lavigne holds a B.A. in English Literature and Theatre from the University of Ottawa and is currently employed as an administrative assistant at the Canada Council for the Arts. As a military brat she considers her home to be Canada.
A long-time lover of fantasy and aspiring novelist, Nicole wrote her first novel, sci-fi, in 2010 as part of National Novel Writing Month to break a writing dry spell. She was quite pleased to discover that there is an actual genre for the mini stories she started writing at the age of four and has been hooked on flash fiction since. Nicole is very excited to be a part of the EDF team.
Nicole is also a passionate baker and geek and blogs about her baking and cake decorating adventures in addition to her creative writing journey. She knows that she is insane, and is very proud of that fact.

Rose Gardener (Slush Reader)

Rose Gardener lives in Wales, UK in secluded retirement. Kept housebound by her ill-health and disabilities she fills her days with reading and writing. She has published two short stories and now has her first novel well underway. When in need of a break from ‘work’ she chats to friends on-line or admires her garden through the window. Once a keen hands-on gardener, she now rejoices that somebody else has to do the hard work while she reaps the rewards. That just about sums up her attitude to life: look for the positives in every situation.

Karen Monroe (Slush Reader)
Karen Monroe enjoys writing short and long fiction, as well as, poetry and essays. She loves to get to know her characters as they reveal themselves slowly on the blank page. While some prefer to outline and plot methodically, she rather enjoys writing her characters into a corner then waiting for her muse to help them find a way out. Several e-zines have featured her work. Recently, she completed her first novel, one that had been in progress for ten years as there were a lot of corners to navigate around. She hopes to have a final revision completed before another decade passes.
Besides writing, Karen enjoys many visual arts; including mixed medium, art journaling, collage, gardening, photography, and knitting. Inspiration comes from family, travel, nature, and the love of her life, Carl.

S.A. Ross (Slush Reader)
S.A. Ross is currently seeking her BA in English with an emphasis on writing.
She was the student poetry judge for Expressions magazine at Casper College in spring of 2010 and the student prose judge for 2011.
She very much adores writing and even the editing processes that goes with it. She’s working towards her Masters in creative writing and hopes to be a book editor and novelist.
•••
Laurel Fuller (Slush Reader)
Laurel Fuller holds a BA in English from the University of Richmond, Virginia and currently lives in Virginia Beach. Laurel is a struggling writer of science fiction and horror, and she sells lattes and baked goods to pay the bills.
Although Laurel has been writing for as long as she’s been able to read, she first began writing seriously in 2005. Since then, she has been working with various local writing groups on one or more of her various projects, and began submitting in early 2011.
A few of Laurel’s favorite things include dragons, vampires and time travel, and her favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Robin McKinley and Stephen King. She also runs a small LiveJournal community with a focus on horror movies, and is currently attempting to learn Japanese in order to understand some of her favorite monster movies more clearly.

Kip Hanson (Slush Reader)
Kip Hanson lives in sunny Arizona, where after a two year period of writing, submission, rejection, and occasional publication of short stories and poetry, he is pondering the idea of writing a…gasp…novel, and as a result is suffering through a wicked case of writer’s block. How does one begin, after all, to write a book? Kip has no idea.
When he was still actually writing every day, he chronicled the life of an exiled Nordic Warrior King at http://misterass.com, and was published in Bartleby Snopes, Every Day Fiction, Full of Crow, Six Sentences, A Twist of Noir, and a few others. He also makes a few bucks on the side by writing boring technical articles about manufacturing (but please don’t tell the IRS).
Kip reads Cormac McCarthy, John Updike, Larry McMurtry, Kurt Vonnegut, Stephen King, John Irving, Anne Rice, Stephen R. Donaldson, Robert Heinlein, Tom Clancy, Alice McDermott, Anne McCaffrey, Isaac Asimov, and of course Tolkien, and thinks a good story is one you’re still thinking about a few days later. He writes to keep the flying monkeys away.

Laura Barnett (Slush Reader)
Laura Barnett has taught college writing, and enjoys reading short stories in her pajamas. Her local library is her second home; she is convinced the only thing missing is a cot in the corner. In addition, she volunteers with the local Literacy Council and tutors two adult students working towards their GEDs. Recently she discovered Writers’ Village University online and loves the feedback from her fellow comrades.
In her spare time she enjoys writing short stories for women, but is convinced that her male dog enjoys them as well. In the very distant future Laura would like to open her own bookstore on the beach complete with single men and margaritas. She lives with her family and very spoiled beagle in a small town outside Philadelphia, Pa.
